Students from the Chiba University Environmental ISO Student Committee participated in the Chiba City Global Warming Countermeasures Regional Council's Next Generation Subcommittee and created original "eco TOILET PAPER" as an environmental education tool for elementary and junior high school students. This initiative aims to raise environmental awareness in daily life without undue burden.
The toilet paper features "Let's Practice! Eco Check" on its packaging and rolls, clearly explaining energy-saving actions that can be taken at home. It includes fun, check-style learning opportunities for familiar actions such as switching to LED lighting and replacing old home appliances.
A total of 1,000 rolls have been produced and are scheduled to be distributed to all students at Midorimachi Junior High School and Midorigaoka Junior High School in Chiba City from late March to April 2026. They will also be distributed as participation prizes to visitors at the "Kodomo Eco Matsuri" (Children's Eco Festival) on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
Through this initiative, it is expected that children will become interested in energy-saving actions at home and be motivated to think about and take environmentally friendly actions in their daily lives.

As part of the Chiba City Global Warming Countermeasures Regional Council, the Next Generation Subcommittee works to promote environmental awareness among elementary and junior high school students in the city. As part of this effort, we have created toilet paper to encourage energy-saving actions, which will be distributed to junior high schools and at events in the city. We hope that by writing about energy-saving actions that can be done at home on toilet paper, something everyone uses in their daily lives, it will serve as a catalyst for improving environmental awareness in everyday life. We sincerely thank everyone who cooperated in its creation.
