CHEERS and Meiji Yasuda Launch 'Fushigi no Mori no Atelier' Experiential Workshop for Kids Nationwide at Aeon Malls

CHEERS Inc., aiming for a society where 'all children can be excited about the present and the future,' in collaboration with Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company, will host 'Fushigi no Mori no Atelier'—an experiential workshop where children can freely enjoy expressing themselves using their five senses—at Aeon Malls nationwide.

This initiative started in May 2026, beginning with an event in Nagoya (Aeon Mall Aratamabashi). From June onwards, it will expand to locations such as Tsukuba, Takasaki, Saga, Himeji, Osaka, and Funabashi, delivering 'experiences that nurture sensitivity' to families nationwide free of charge.

■ What is 'Fushigi no Mori no Atelier'?

'Fushigi no Mori no Atelier' is an experiential workshop where children can freely enjoy creation, valuing the exciting feeling of discovering what they like while exploring a forest.

The focus is not on 'making it well,' but on the feeling of 'wanting to try.' By touching natural materials like natural stones and dried flowers, and enjoying their colors and textures, children freely nurture their 'feeling heart' and 'expressive power' through the time spent expressing themselves.

The venue is designed as a forest world like stepping into a picture book. It is a space designed to make children wonder 'What is that?' from afar and want to get closer.

■ Program Details: Create Your Own Little World with Pieces of Nature

At 'Fushigi no Mori no Atelier,' parents and children challenge themselves to create original artworks using flowers and stones. They express their own favorite world in a small petri dish.

[3 Steps to Create]
1. Choose pieces that excite your heart from natural stones and dried flowers.
2. Pack the chosen pieces into the petri dish.
3. Close the lid and pack it in a bag to finish!

It's a time to find one's own 'likes' without a right answer. Which pieces to choose and how to combine them are entirely up to the children's freedom.

After creation, a professional photographer will take pictures of the children holding their finished artwork (limited to 60 children per day). The photos will be handed over in an original 'Fushigi no Mori no Atelier' mount at a later date. A feature of this project is that they can take home not only the creative experience itself but also that time in a tangible 'form.'

■ Why We Deliver Sensitivity Education for Free to Families Nationwide
In the upcoming era of living with AI, the ability to perceive and express through one's own sensitivity is becoming increasingly important. Even in STEAM education promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Art is positioned as a pillar alongside science and mathematics, raising the importance of sensitivity education.

Many families wish to 'let their children experience art while they are young.' On the other hand, the reality is that there are not that many opportunities for children to actually experience art.

That is exactly why we launched 'Fushigi no Mori no Atelier' as a place to deliver sensitivity education to children nationwide and encounter their 'likes' and 'want to do.'

This project is jointly operated by three companies utilizing their respective strengths: 'Meiji Yasuda,' aiming for regional contribution with about 37,000 sales representatives nationwide; 'Aeon Mall,' loved by many families with about 1,800 stores domestically; and 'CHEERS,' delivering experiences for free aiming to eliminate the experience gap among children.

What is valued at 'Fushigi no Mori no Atelier' is freely nurturing the buds of 'likes,' 'this is good,' and 'want to do' within children, rather than making things well. We want them to enjoy choosing and expressing with their own sensitivity, rather than being taught the correct answer. This 'Fushigi no Mori no Atelier' was created as a place to support children's growth by these three companies, who wish to stay close to local communities and support child-rearing more than anyone else.
