Share Cycle Service 'Charichari' Conducts Traffic Safety Awareness Activities in Conjunction with the Introduction of the Bicycle Blue Ticket System

Charichari Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, President & CEO: Kentaro Iemoto, hereinafter "Charichari"), which operates the share cycle service 'Charichari', conducted traffic safety awareness activities in collaboration with local governments and police in the 6 locations where the service is deployed, coinciding with the enforcement of the revised Road Traffic Act (bicycle blue ticket system) on April 1, 2026. Through traffic safety parades and events in each region, they called for the safe use of bicycles and thorough understanding of the new rules. Charichari, under its mission to "Create the next habit of urban mobility," has been committed to building a safe cycling environment as part of its role in public mobility infrastructure. The revised Road Traffic Act came into effect on April 1, 2026, introducing the "Traffic Violation Notification System (Blue Ticket)" for traffic violations by cyclists aged 16 and over. In response, Charichari has designated the three months from March to May 2026 as an "Enhanced Safety Awareness Period," launching "Smart Ride Challenge (*)" to make learning bicycle traffic rules fun and calling for a reconfirmation of the rules. April, the start of the new lifestyle, is a time when the number of bicycle users increases significantly due to commuting and school. While bicycles are familiar and convenient modes of transportation, there have been voices of anxiety and confusion regarding the current law revision, partly due to limited opportunities to systematically learn the rules.
