450 Years of Hot Spring Power: Uguisushuku Onsen, Iwate Shizukuishi.

"Uguisushuku Onsen," a famous hot spring with over 450 years of history, gushes forth in Shizukuishi, overlooking the sacred Mt. Iwate in Michinoku. This "raw hot spring" is poured directly from the earth at approximately 45°C, with a flow rate exceeding 100 liters per minute, without any added water, heating, filtration, or circulation. The water quality is a simple alkaline spring with a pH of 8.3. Its low isotonic properties provide a soft touch on the skin, and the slightly viscous texture leaves it smooth. You can fully enjoy the authentic hot spring power that our facility boasts, along with views of the magnificent natural surroundings.

Large Public Bath with Open-Air Bath and Traditional "Todo-ne" Space In our large public bath, you can fully enjoy the historic "raw hot spring" in an open-air bath while feeling the gentle breeze. You can also experience "Todo-ne," a traditional bathing method of the Tohoku region. By lying down on the floor where the overflow from the bathtub flows, you can relax while feeling the warmth of the hot spring with your entire body. This is a luxurious space made possible by "Gensen Itto Iwate Shizukuishi," which boasts a rich water flow of over 100 liters per minute gushing from the earth. The "raw hot spring," without added water or heating, moistens the entire floor. Please enjoy a blissful moment by immersing yourself in the shallow flow of continuously overflowing hot water and bathing in the earth's heat with your whole body.

* The "Todo-ne" dedicated space is attached to one of the two large public baths, which are switched between men and women in the morning and evening. Please enjoy bathing in both during your stay.

Dinner Our dinner offers a dynamic culinary entertainment space that stimulates all five senses.

The highlight is the impressive tuna cutting show, where chefs will prepare fresh tuna, cut on the spot, into nigiri sushi and sashimi in a lively atmosphere. Furthermore, you can fully enjoy the rich seafood of Michinoku, from seasonal catches to carefully selected snow crab, in a sophisticated buffet style.

We also offer a variety of dishes, including roast beef made with Iwate Prefecture's Nanbu beef and other Iwate beef, freshly fried tempura prepared at the live kitchen, and local specialties like Iwate's famous Wanko Soba.
