Automatic navigation and route planning functions, which have become standard for aerial drones, are now a reality underwater.

Following the 2024 global debut of U-INS, which pioneered automatic navigation on the seabed floor using proprietary Q-DVL acoustic Doppler velocity log and sensor fusion technology, QYSEA has spent approximately one year evolving the system into 'U-INS Plus.' This new version supports automatic navigation not only on flat surfaces but also on vertical planes.

By combining satellite positioning with sensors, high-precision underwater navigation is now possible, enabling automatic operation that maintains a set distance from both horizontal and vertical surfaces, as well as irregular wall structures.

The U-INS PLUS-compatible sensor module features a modular design that supports multiple models in the QYSEA FIFISH series.

High-Precision Underwater Navigation Through Combined Satellite Positioning and Sensors

Absolute coordinates are acquired via GNSS satellite positioning at the water's surface. Once submerged, the Q-DVL and IMU sensors continue to estimate and correct the position in real-time. This enables high-precision navigation even in underwater environments where GNSS signals cannot reach.
