At Central Japan International Airport Centrair (located in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture), on Thursday, March 26, 2026, the "Toki Air Parent-Child Job Shadowing Event" was held as the first commemorative project of the "Ordinance for a City Soaring into the Future with Central Japan International Airport Centrair" enacted by Tokoname City. With the cooperation of Toki Air Co., Ltd., parents and children from Tokoname City learned about the mechanisms of airplanes and jobs in the aviation industry.

The "Ordinance for a City Soaring into the Future with Central Japan International Airport Centrair" was enacted on February 17, 2026, Centrair's opening anniversary. It embodies Tokoname City's desire, as a city with an international airport, to deepen citizens' affection and understanding of the airport through learning and interaction related to the airport, aiming to become a city that soars into the future together with the airport.

**Highlights of the "Toki Air Job Shadowing Event"** On the day of the event, 9 pairs (18 people) of parents and children residing in Tokoname City, selected by lottery, gathered at Centrair. They thoroughly learned about the mechanisms of airplanes and aviation jobs from Toki Air staff through classroom lectures and on-site tours.

**<Classroom Lecture>** During the classroom lecture, Toki Air staff explained the mechanisms of airplanes and various aviation jobs, including ground handling. In the middle of the lecture, participants also had the opportunity to attach actual baggage tags to their belongings, allowing parents and children to feel closer to the work of airline staff.

**<Counter Tour>** After the classroom lecture, participants toured the Toki Air counter. As check-in time approached, customers continuously visited the counter, and the check-in process proceeded smoothly. By observing the efficient movements of the counter staff and seeing the baggage tags they had experienced in the lecture actually being attached and luggage being checked in, participants gained a closer understanding of airline operations.

**<Off to See the Airplanes!>** After touring the counter, it was finally time to head to the airfield. Participants boarded a bus to the apron and waited for the Toki Air plane to land from Niigata.

**<Toki Air Arrives!>** Finally, the Toki Air aircraft landed at Centrair. The children were very excited as the plane approached them. After the engine stopped, they approached the aircraft, and Toki Air staff provided detailed explanations, pointing to various parts of the actual plane from nose to tail. It was a valuable experience to feel a real airplane with all their senses.

**<Waving Goodbye to Toki Air>** The enjoyable time spent learning about the Toki Air plane passed quickly, and it was time for the aircraft to depart for Niigata Airport with new passengers. The parents and children, who had become quite fond of the Toki Air aircraft, reluctantly waved goodbye until it disappeared into the sky.

**<Finally, a Quiz Contest>** After waving goodbye to the Toki Air aircraft, the parents and children returned to the room to participate in a quiz contest, reviewing what they had learned. Thanks to their half-day of thorough learning, they answered questions one after another correctly, and the venue was filled with excitement. Thus, the fun job shadowing event concluded with satisfaction.

**After the Job Shadowing Class** **Toma Furukawa and Parent, 6th Grade, Nishiura Kita Elementary School** "I participated in the 'Job Shadowing Class' at my mother's recommendation. I like flying on planes, but this was my first time seeing one up close and in detail. The marshaller's job particularly impressed me. As I advance to junior high school, I expect more opportunities to research and learn in depth, so having an experience like today before that was a very good opportunity."
