Centrair Group Holds FY2026 Entrance Ceremony: 70 New Employees Take First Steps Under Boeing 787

Chubu International Airport Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Hironori Kagohashi) and the Centrair Group (*) held the "FY2026 Centrair Group Entrance Ceremony" on Wednesday, April 1, welcoming a total of 70 new employees across the group.

The ceremony took place at "Flight Park" on the 1st floor of Flight of Dreams, where the first Boeing 787 is displayed. The venue was chosen to provide a space symbolic of Centrair, allowing new hires to feel the industry's future as they begin their careers.

"Thank you for joining Centrair. Right now, you likely feel a mix of dreams and hopes alongside the loneliness and anxiety of finishing student life. Today, I want to share three things I believe are important not just for work, but for life in general."

First, "Love."
Beyond love for family and partners, having gratitude, respect, and compassion for seniors, juniors, partner companies, customers, and cleaning staff in your professional life leads to joy in working and pride in your job.

Second, "Worthwhile Work (Ikigai)."
It is vital to find value in your work and feel that you are contributing to society and the company. By constantly thinking about 'how to make things better' and innovating, the sense of fulfillment in your work will deepen.

Third, "Humor."
Work will always have tough times. In such moments, if you have the mental space to step back and think, 'What scene in a story is this?' or 'Will I be able to laugh about this later?', you can overcome any difficulty.

Centrair was born from the wishes and dreams of the region, and it has three origins:

1. Realizing a virtuous cycle of growth with the region.
We will grow alongside the people of the Chubu region, increasing the number of visitors and expanding our global network.

2. Establishing a management base to maintain a 'Good Airport.'
Centrair has been ranked world number one in the mid-size airport category for over 10 consecutive years. However, the management environment is becoming harsher due to rising prices. We will re-strengthen our foundation to leave a 'good airport' for the future.

3. Airport operations that value people.
We aim for an airport where everyone working here finds it easy to live and work, and feels a sense of purpose.

"You will find your own goals in your assigned departments. Your colleagues will watch over you and support your growth, so please take on challenges with confidence."

Issuance of Appointment Letters

During the issuance of appointment letters, the presidents of each group company handed representative new employees letters designed to look like airline tickets. There was also a moment where they stamped their 'Passport-style' preliminary appointment letters used at the unofficial offer ceremony, creating a production full of airport-like flair.

Determination Statement

In the statement of determination, three representatives from the group companies stepped forward and shared their aspirations: "The airport is a starting point for travel, a charming place where memories and reunions are born. I take pride in working here and will commit to daily tasks with a sense of social responsibility. I will strive to grow with my colleagues and do my best as a member supporting the airport."

To conclude the ceremony, all 70 employees flew paper planes, carrying their dreams starting from Centrair and their thoughts for the future of the aviation industry.
