Cemedine Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and President: Shinji Mizusawa) has jointly developed with contemporary design studio we+ (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representatives: Toshiya Hayashi, Hokuto Ando) and Hakuten Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Jun Harada; hereinafter referred to as Hakuten) a seaweed-derived sodium alginate adhesive 'LOOPGLUE' that achieves both "high adhesive performance" and "characteristics that can be easily decomposed with water."

【Background of Development】
In exhibitions and similar events, "paper hanging" (attaching wallpaper to wooden structures) is common, but it is difficult to remove the wallpaper cleanly after use, posing challenges for maintaining the quality of wooden walls for reuse and requiring significant labor. Against this backdrop, a joint research project by design studio we+ and Hakuten, aiming for resource-circulating events, conducted demonstration experiments to explore new possibilities for seaweed utilization, focusing on "sodium alginate" derived from Mozuku. Subsequently, our company joined this project and, leveraging our accumulated adhesive technology, developed the adhesive "LOOPGLUE" which can be easily peeled off, using sodium alginate derived from 100% natural seaweed as its raw material.
This product achieves "easy disassembly," allowing for simple removal of the adhesive, thereby supporting the efficient reuse of exhibition materials and aiding in the transition away from the conventional disposable exhibition style.
【Product Features】
▮ Excellent Easy-to-Disassemble Property
By immersing in water, it can be easily decomposed and peeled off, facilitating material reuse and contributing to resource circulation.
