Cear Announces Official Release of Next-Generation Acoustic Control Protocol "Cear Connect"

Cear Inc. (Representative Director: Yoshitaka Murayama), headquartered in Taito-ku, Tokyo, will officially announce "Cear Connect," a common protocol layer for acoustic device control and parameter transfer, at the "Cear Technology Conference 2026 (CTC 2026)" to be held on March 26, 2026. Concurrently, Cear Connect-compatible OEM modules will be announced, with mass production scheduled for April 2026.

Background and Challenges

Cear's compact speaker, "Cear pavé," is increasingly being adopted in diverse locations such as live venues, art exhibitions, and sports facilities. Users have expressed desires such as "It would be great if EQ settings were possible," "I want to control many pavé units collectively," and "I need simple installation and setup."

At the same time, as applications utilizing a large number of pavé units, such as wavefront synthesis, advanced, a control mechanism became necessary for developers. "Cear Connect" is the answer born from these on-site voices and development needs.

About Cear Connect

Cear Connect is a "common protocol layer for acoustic device control and parameter transfer, independent of the transport." It controls four standards – USB HID, Bluetooth® LE (GATT), Bluetooth® LE Audio Periodic Advertisement, and Auracast™ – with a unified API, enabling real-time operation of multiple acoustic devices with a single smartphone.

By simply integrating it into your own products, you can immediately join the ecosystem. Mass production is scheduled for April 2026.
