Nagoya Minato Tsutaya Books (Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture) will hold a talk event on Sunday, July 12, 2026, to commemorate the release of photographer Yuki Ueda's latest book, "ARCA: Tales of This Planet" (Shogakukan Shueisha Productions). The book features approximately 100 magnificent landscape photographs taken during travels to various locations around the world, including the Himalayas, Antarctica, Iceland, and the Uyuni Salt Flats, allowing readers to experience "the real face of this planet" encountered in extreme natural environments throughout the book. Yuki Ueda

Photographer. Born in Wakayama Prefecture in 1988. After graduating from university, she embarked on a round-the-world trip, visiting 45 countries over a year and a half. Upon returning to Japan, she joined Amna Inc. In 2016, she became a freelance photographer, traveling to extreme and remote locations around the world to deliver unimaginable landscapes to many people. In recent years, her scope of work has expanded to include everything from the 8,000-meter peaks of the Himalayas to underwater scenes and wildlife, and she summited Mt. Everest (8,848m) in 2021.
