■ About The Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines (AICE)
The Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines is a technical research association that promotes research and development aimed at advancing internal combustion engine technology and improving environmental performance, in collaboration with Japanese automobile manufacturers, related companies, universities, and research institutions.
It engages in a wide range of activities, from basic research through industry-academia collaboration to applied research with a view to practical application.

■ Background of Membership
The Company has long been researching distributed storage and distributed communication technologies in the mobility domain, and has confirmed a strong demand for use cases where the edge side serves as a storage pool in the next-generation mobility domain.
Therefore, we decided to join AICE to promote the research and development of "furehako® for Mobility," a new version of our data collaboration platform "furehako®" optimized for the mobility domain, and to strengthen international collaboration for standardization.
■ Initiatives
The Company will promote joint research on "furehako®" in the fields of AD (Autonomous Driving) and ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) in collaboration with German and Japanese research institutions and companies, focusing on the following areas:
・Data collaboration and integration in distributed environments
・Management and sharing platform for digital spatial data
・Efficiency improvement and reproducibility enhancement in research and development processes
■ Value for MaaS Operators and Related Companies
Through these initiatives, we will strengthen the following value propositions in the mobility domain:
・Advanced data collaboration: Smooth realization of data integration between vehicles, infrastructure, and services
・Improved development speed: Shortening of verification cycles
・Enhanced adaptability to international standards: Improved technical adaptability through European and Japanese research collaboration
This will enable MaaS operators and mobility-related companies to develop new services and enhance existing businesses.
■ Future Outlook
In the future, the next-generation mobility domain is expected to see rapid AI implementation, automation, and unmanned operations.
Web2.0-like architectures that process data on the cloud side cannot meet these next-generation needs, making our Web3-like distributed technology essential.
Based on the knowledge gained from AICE and international joint research, the Company will further expand the use cases of "furehako®" in the mobility sector.
In particular, we will contribute to improving safety, advancing data utilization, and realizing a sustainable transportation society in next-generation mobility.
