Kashio Toshio Invention Memorial Hall to Host Summer Vacation Exhibition for Elementary School Students

The Kashio Toshio Invention Memorial Hall, operated by the Kashio Toshio Memorial Foundation, will host a summer vacation exhibition for elementary school students called 'Mystery Solving Adventure' from Wednesday, July 22, to Wednesday, August 5. During this period, hands-on events where children can enjoy learning about science and art will also be held. The Kashio Toshio Invention Memorial Hall exhibits historical products from Casio Computer Co., Ltd. to pass on the spirit of invention of Toshio Kashio, one of the founders of Casio and the inventor of the world's first small, all-electric calculator, the '14-A'. The hall also conducts activities for the next generation of children. Every year during summer vacation, the hall holds an exhibition for elementary school students. Following last year, this year's 'Mystery Solving Adventure' will involve solving problems related to the hall and Toshio Kashio while touring the facility. This year, children in lower grades (1st-3rd grade) who answer at least 5 questions, and those in higher grades (4th-6th grade) who answer all 10 questions, can try a capsule toy machine to win a prize. Additionally, 6 types of hands-on events will be held. In addition to 'Calculation Exploration', 'Calculator Disassembly and Assembly Class', 'Become an Inventor', and 'Watch Disassembly and Assembly Class', two new events have been added this year: 'Become a Music Creator with a Sampler!' and 'Learn with Relays (Electromagnets)!'. Any elementary school student accompanied by an adult can participate for free. Reservations will begin on the memorial hall's website at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 7.
