First Held in Hokuriku! Report on "Network & Security MeetUp! Hokuriku" Connecting Sales Partners and Manufacturers

SB C&S Corporation ("SB C&S") hosted the offline event "Network & Security MeetUp! Hokuriku" (the "Event") for the first time in Kanazawa on June 3, 2026, as part of its "Network & Security MeetUp!" exhibition series, which supports the security measures of sales partners and user companies by collaborating with domestic and international network and security manufacturers.

In recent years, cyberattacks have become more sophisticated due to the advancement of ransomware and supply chain attacks, as well as the increasing use of AI by attackers. Furthermore, with the planned launch of the "Security Measure Evaluation System for Supply Chain Strengthening" led by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, companies are required to enhance their security measures, including those of their business partners. Against this backdrop, the Event introduced information on the latest threat trends, key points for compliance with the system, and security solutions.

This time, 16 domestic and international companies in the network and security fields exhibited, showcasing a wide range of solutions including network security, identity management, endpoint protection, and cloud security. At each booth, manufacturers introduced the features of their products and case studies, providing attendees with information on corporate security challenges and future system compliance.

The lecture program included a presentation from the Ishikawa Prefectural Police Headquarters on the trends and victim cases of cybercrime occurring in Ishikawa Prefecture, along with advice on security measures companies should take. Additionally, Security Sommelier, SB C&S's specialized information security team, gave a lecture on "Overview and Approach to the Security Measure Evaluation System for Supply Chain Strengthening," explaining the latest trends of the system scheduled to commence operations from the end of fiscal year 2026 and the points companies should prepare for. Following the lecture, consultations were received regarding specific response methods and relevant security products.

A total of 106 people participated on the day. Feedback from the attendee survey included comments such as, "I was able to deepen my knowledge of security," "The content was useful for my future business, so I definitely want to participate next time," "It was easy to understand not only the guidelines for the security measure evaluation system for supply chain strengthening but also the related solutions," and "The lecture using actual case studies was very helpful." Exhibiting manufacturers also commented, "It was a great opportunity as events in Hokuriku are rare," and "Over 100 attendees, it was very lively."
