SB C&S Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'SB C&S'), which offers a wide range of the latest IoT products and smart home appliances from around the world, has begun handling the brand 'ThinkAR' developed by ThinkAR Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Paul Jones). As an official authorized distributor in Japan, the company will expand its sales network.

Through this collaboration, SB C&S will start sequential sales of the AI smart glasses 'AiLENS V1', equipped with an AI (artificial intelligence) assistant, from Friday, June 5, 2025, at 'Toretech! SoftBank Selection' and select electronics retailers nationwide.

In recent years, driven by the expansion of AI utilization and growing inbound demand, needs for multilingual communication and hands-free information usage have increased. The 'AiLENS V1' is a lightweight AI smart glasses that can display information such as translations, notifications, and an AI assistant on the lens area. By linking with a smartphone, users can utilize real-time translation, notification display, calls, and teleprompter functions hands-free, naturally checking necessary information without taking out their phone. Additionally, the 'AiLENS V1' supports integration* with the transcription app 'YYSystem' provided by Aisin Corporation. By displaying conversation content in real-time as text, it can be used to support communication for people with hearing impairments and to improve accessibility.

A New Wearable Experience Where AI Enters Your Field of View

The 'AiLENS V1' employs a Green MicroLED display to show information on the lens area. By speaking to the AI, results of searches, translations, and notification checks are displayed in real-time within the user's field of view, allowing them to check necessary information without taking out their smartphone. Weighing approximately 38g and equipped with a battery that lasts up to approximately 10 hours, it can be used comfortably for long periods in daily life.

Real-time Translation Supporting 76 Languages

Equipped with a real-time translation function supporting 76 languages, it can be used in various situations requiring multilingual communication, such as overseas travel, customer service, meetings, business negotiations, and presentations. By naturally displaying translation results within the field of view, it supports smooth communication without interrupting the flow of conversation.

Teleprompter Function for Speaking Without Looking Away

The teleprompter function allows scripts and notes to be displayed on the lens area. During presentations, speeches, online streaming, or video recording, users can check content without significantly moving their gaze, supporting natural communication and smooth progress. It can also be practically used in business scenes, such as displaying supplementary information during sales negotiations or customer service.

Integration with the Voice Recognition System 'YYSystem' for Communication Support

It also supports integration* with the transcription app 'YYSystem' provided by Aisin Corporation. By converting speech to text in real-time and displaying it on the glasses, it supports communication in various life situations, primarily for people with hearing impairments. It is expected to contribute to creating an environment where diverse people can communicate smoothly and serve as a solution to improve accessibility and operational efficiency.
