Canon Production Printing Systems Inc. (President and CEO: Katsumi Ueda, hereinafter Canon PPS) will hold Japan's first exhibition of an inline configuration connecting the A3-plus sheet-fed inkjet press for commercial printing, "varioPRINT iX3200," and Horizon's saddle stitching system for digital printing, "iCE STITCHLINER Mark V," at Horizon's showroom Horizon Innovation Park (Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture) starting April 9, 2026. By automating the entire process from printing to saddle-stitched bookbinding in one seamless flow, it reduces paper reloading and manual labor between processes, curbing operator dependency while enabling shorter delivery times for the final products.

In this exhibition, the "varioPRINT iX3200" and "iCE STITCHLINER Mark V" are connected inline to demonstrate one-pass production from A3-plus printing to saddle-stitched bookbinding. Furthermore, by combining the hardware's printing and bookbinding processes with the management software "Connect Works Manager R2," a demonstration that streamlines all steps from prepress to bookbinding can be conducted, allowing visitors to experience the optimization of the entire workflow. Combining the stable print quality and high productivity of the "varioPRINT iX3200" with the automation of prepress and bookbinding processes significantly reduces work-in-progress transportation and manual labor between steps, simultaneously achieving maximum production efficiency and labor savings.
