Canon IT Solutions Inc. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Hiroshi Suyama; hereinafter “Canon ITS”), a Canon Marketing Japan Group company, announced that its in-house developed financial accounting system, “SuperStream-NX Fixed Asset Management,” has received the “Certification for Legal Requirements for Electronic Book Software” from the Japan Image and Information Management Association (JIIMA). The certification program is a system under which JIIMA, as a third-party organization, reviews and evaluates whether software that supports Japan’s Electronic Books Preservation Act and is used to create and store national tax-related books has the required functions. Software judged to meet the legal requirements is certified. “SuperStream-NX Fixed Asset Management,” which supports the management of fixed assets and leased assets, has been recognized as meeting the functional specifications stipulated by the Electronic Books Preservation Act. It obtained the “Certification for Legal Requirements for Electronic Book Software” based on the FY2023 revised legal standards on April 23, 2026. With this certification, customers using “SuperStream-NX Fixed Asset Management” do not need to individually verify legal compliance regarding preservation requirements related to ensuring the authenticity and visibility of documents, or requirements for classifying covered documents. They can operate electronic transactions in compliance with the Electronic Books Preservation Act with greater confidence. The “SuperStream-NX” series has continuously worked to support the Electronic Books Preservation Act. “SuperStream-NX Integrated Accounting” has already obtained both the “Certification for Legal Requirements for Electronic Book Software” and the “Certification for Legal Requirements for Scanner Storage Software under the Electronic Books Preservation Act.” Going forward, “SuperStream-NX” will continue product development that contributes to customers’ digitalization, operational efficiency, and strengthened internal controls, while also expanding functions in line with changes in legal systems. About “SuperStream-NX” “SuperStream-NX” is a solution that combines know-how backed by many years of implementation experience with the latest technologies to optimize core back-office operations, including financial accounting, human resources, and payroll. For nearly 30 years, the solution has listened to market needs, been used by more than 11,000 customers, and continuously refined its functions. To reduce the burden of back-office operations, it incorporates an “accounting department and HR department first” philosophy, achieving outstanding usability through advanced technologies. Key features include strong usability, with user-friendly input screens that support list entry and site-based entry, as well as Excel-like inquiry screens with sorting and filtering settings. It also offers rich data output functions, including “ReportPlus,” which displays aggregation results as graphs, and pivot reports. It supports group management by seamlessly aggregating and updating accounting information not only for individual companies but also for group companies, enabling faster group-wide closing. It includes multi-company functions as standard, supporting intercompany transaction recording and centralized payments. For overseas subsidiaries, the benefits of a web system allow easier and lower-cost deployment. It enables flexible system integration through external API calls with systems such as production management and sales management systems, and can also import external data such as CSV files, allowing customers to make effective use of existing accumulated assets. It also offers flexible, low-cost implementation and operation options tailored to company size and needs. For example, domestic group locations can use an on-premise packaged implementation, while overseas locations can use the SaaS-compatible version, simplifying system operations and significantly reducing IT investment costs.
