(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shin Ebara) has announced a revamp of the 'Lucky Card' system for its '2026 Professional Baseball Chips' (Lightly Salted flavor, launching Monday, April 27, 2026), which includes two player cards from the 12 professional baseball teams. The system has been improved to allow entries via the 'Calbee Lbee Program' for more attractive prizes. The 'Calbee Professional Baseball Chips Campaign,' designed to create opportunities for children to engage with baseball, will begin on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

This is the first time since the launch of 'Professional Baseball Snack' (the predecessor to Professional Baseball Chips) that the company has implemented a new project to replace the Lucky Card system.

Background

'Professional Baseball Chips' was born in 1973 as 'Professional Baseball Snack,' succeeding the card-included snack 'Kamen Rider Snack' released in 1971. Since then, it has been enjoyed by many customers over the years, evolving its packaging design and flavors while transitioning to potato chips.

While we have conducted campaigns allowing customers to exchange Lucky Cards for prizes since 1973, the exchange rate has declined in recent years, prompting a review of the rewards. Through the 'Calbee Lbee Program,' we will now offer memorable experiences, such as complete team card sets, professional baseball game tickets, and baseball clinics, to selected applicants.
