Cainz and Tsurugashima City Sign 'Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement'

CAINZ CORPORATION (Headquarters: Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture, President & CEO: Masayuki Kake) announces that it has signed a 'Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement' (hereinafter referred to as 'this Agreement') with Tsurugashima City, Saitama Prefecture, on Thursday, March 26, 2026. This Agreement aims to realize a community where citizens can live with peace of mind and to promote regional revitalization by mutually cooperating in areas such as disaster prevention, environmental measures, child-rearing support, health promotion, and industrial development between Tsurugashima City and Cainz.

With 'Kurashi DIY' (DIY for Life) as its brand concept, Cainz aims to make each person's 'life' enjoyable through ingenuity, delivering valuable products and services at affordable prices every day. This aspiration is also linked to the realization of the 'Kumimachi Vision' formulated in October 2021, which aims for regional coexistence, and Cainz is working to address various challenges and needs faced by regions and lives in Japan.

In Tsurugashima City, Cainz has repeatedly collaborated in various fields, including agreements for disaster supplies, traffic safety and crime prevention awareness, and welfare cooperation. In particular, Cainz Tsurugashima store, as one of the largest flagship stores in the region, serves as a hub connecting government, citizens, and local businesses.

Through this agreement, Cainz aims to further deepen co-creation towards the realization of the 'Kumimachi Vision' of 'DIYing our town's life together with everyone,' and contribute to regional revitalization and development by advancing initiatives in a wide range of fields.

(3) Regarding child-rearing and support for child-rearing.

(7) Other matters related to improving citizen services and revitalizing the region.

Main Initiatives Co-created and Collaborated with Tsurugashima City

Strengthening Supply of Daily Necessities during Disasters and Disaster Prevention Cooperation during Peacetime

Based on the 'Agreement on Cooperation for the Supply of Daily Necessities during Disasters' signed in 2012, in the event of a disaster, essential daily goods and work supplies will be supplied from our logistics warehouses and stores upon request from Tsurugashima City. In addition, Cainz is working to improve regional disaster preparedness through cooperation in disaster prevention measures during peacetime.

Support for Heatstroke Prevention and Health Promotion Utilizing Stores

In recent years, extreme heat has become a serious risk comparable to disasters, and the importance of heatstroke countermeasures is increasing. Cainz Tsurugashima store plans to offer its in-store food court as a 'cooling shelter' for citizens to use with peace of mind during business hours. Furthermore, the store space will be utilized to hold health-related events and lectures, supporting citizens' health promotion.
