Toray's 3D Printer Resin Powder Data Added to 'Digimat' Material Database

MSC Software Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Masao Konno Socks; Cadence Group; hereinafter MSC) has added structural analysis data for the 3D printer resin powder "Toremill® PPS" from Toray Industries, Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Mitsuo Ohya; hereinafter "Toray") to "Digimat-MX," the material database of its composite material modeling platform "Digimat." As a result, "Digimat" users can perform high-precision simulations utilizing Toray's high-performance material data, achieving designs that combine lightweight properties with high strength.

Toray has traditionally provided material data for various grades of injection molding resins to "Digimat-MX," but has now newly added data for its 3D printer resin powder. Toray's 3D printer resin powder "Toremill® PPS" is a resin powder compatible with Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) systems, developed using Toray's proprietary polymer design technology.
