Kyosou Academy, a specialist in organizational development and human resource development, will begin offering the practical program 'Kaigi Dock' from May 28, 2026. This program, held in 6 sessions every two weeks online, responds to on-site voices such as 'meetings that end vaguely' and 'difficult and painful facilitation.' In conjunction with this, we will first hold 30-minute online information sessions (April 21 & May 12).

## Background of Development — 'We Are Never Taught How to Learn Meetings'

While AI has significantly improved the efficiency of information gathering and analysis, the 'meeting' where people gather remains a challenge in many organizations. In an era where AI can handle what it excels at, the meaning of people gathering is being questioned. Whether that gathering is comfortable and yields results—this is the era that determines an organization's strength.

A survey by stak in 2025 found that Japanese business people spend approximately 394 hours per year in meetings, with about 30% feeling they were 'a waste.' Furthermore, data from Persol Research Institute's 'Quantitative Survey on Workplace Dialogue' in 2024 reports that less than 20% feel they can speak freely in meetings.

However, there are very few opportunities to systematically learn how to conduct meetings, whether in school or at work. Many people are left with the situation of 'having no choice but to imitate the meetings they've attended,' perpetuating unproductive meetings.

Based on its track record in organizational development and facilitation support, Kyosou Academy has developed the program 'Kaigi Dock' with the concept of 'Transforming organizations through one meeting.'

## What is 'Kaigi Dock'?

'Kaigi Dock' is a 6-session practical program designed to objectively diagnose the meetings you are involved in and transform them into 'Kaigi'—meetings that are comfortable and yield results.

The 'Dock' in the name has two meanings. One is 'to inspect and diagnose,' like a human health check-up. The other is 'to stop and maintain,' like a ship's dock. We designed it as a place to carefully review the state of meetings and adjust them to a better condition amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life.

'Kaigi' refers to meetings that are comfortable and produce results. Through the 6 sessions, the current 'meeting' will transform into a meaningful 'Kaigi'—each participant will experience this transformation process using their own actual meetings as material.

## Three Features of the Program

### ① Starting from the Discomfort in Current Meetings

Rather than jumping into techniques, we begin by articulating 'what is happening in my meetings.' The first session focuses on listening to each other's discomforts in a safe environment.
