"We announced our sustainability policy, but it hasn't penetrated the front lines."
"Employees don't relate to or empathize with it because they don't understand why or what we are doing."
"We don't know how to specifically implement it."
Many companies face a high hurdle in the "internal penetration" of sustainability promotion. In reality, it may be difficult to motivate front-line employees solely with a "sense of duty" driven by societal demands.
In this seminar, we will systematically organize the overall picture for successful internal penetration of sustainability into four frameworks: "Policy/Definition", "Communication", "System/Mechanism", and "Opportunities (Input/Output)". We will explain these using specific examples of advanced companies and highlight the key points for success.
Furthermore, we will delve into two crucial points for accelerating penetration:
1. Connecting Management Philosophy and Purpose with Sustainability
A shift in thinking from "because society demands it" to "because it is necessary for our company to continue to exist for a long time." We will explain how to logically connect the company's reason for being (purpose) and the necessity of sustainability, crafting a story that employees can truly relate to.
2. Utilizing "External Communication" for Internal Penetration
The actual catalyst for internal penetration is "external communication." Delivering clear and attractive messages to the outside world effectively boosts employee awareness, motivation, and management's commitment. We will share insights on how to leverage diverse external communication measures for internal adoption.
We hope this will provide hints to alleviate the frustrations of sustainability managers struggling on the front lines every day and break through the current situation.
We look forward to your participation.
