Short-form video platform "TikTok (TikTok)" and the Public Interest Incorporated Association SV League (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Masaaki Oga, hereinafter referred to as "SV League") have jointly released short videos on July 8, 2026 (Wed) aimed at deterring and raising awareness about the voyeuristic filming and inappropriate posting of images and videos of athletes.
This initiative aims to highlight the seriousness of the issue by using the accessible medium of short videos and to appeal that such acts are unacceptable. For the production, we collaborated with popular creator Yusaku Sports (@yusakusports), who posts various sports-related videos on TikTok, and lawyer Yukio Kikuchi, who has been involved in volleyball for many years (Banchō Law Office). The content is in the style of a short drama, featuring Yusaku Sports presenting cases of inappropriate posting and filming targeting athletes, and receiving commentary from lawyer Kikuchi. This video is available on the SV League's official TikTok account (@sv.league), and the release of a second installment is planned.
Under the content collaboration agreement signed in October 2025, TikTok and SV League are jointly developing various content to convey the excitement of SV League matches and the appeal of the players through short movies, aiming to expand new fan bases both domestically and internationally. In addition to strengthening fan engagement, this agreement also aims to contribute to the realization of a safe and secure sports culture by disseminating awareness content in cooperation with creators regarding inappropriate filming of athletes. This project is part of those efforts. TikTok will continue to promote awareness and educational activities with SV League regarding the caution against and prohibition of voyeuristic filming and inappropriate posting/display of images and videos that harm athletes.

This video addresses a theme I've long debated whether to tackle.
Many people take photos and videos with the intention of supporting sports, which makes the line between "records of support" and "items filmed and distributed for sexual purposes" very difficult to draw, and this issue cannot be easily discussed.
Sports athletes do not compete with the aim of having risqué photos or videos taken of them. They play to fully dedicate themselves to their sport and challenge their own limits.
In reality, some athletes feel anxiety and stress having to be conscious of such filming while competing. It is very regrettable that the environment, which should allow them to concentrate 100% on their sport, is being compromised.
Therefore, this time, I consulted with lawyer Kikuchi, a legal expert, to correctly understand "where the problem lies" and "how it can be legally considered," not based on emotional arguments.
I hope this video will serve as an opportunity for volleyball fans and all sports enthusiasts to think about an environment where both athletes and fans can enjoy sports comfortably. Please watch until the end.

This time, together with Yusaku Sports, who loves sports, we created a "red card" message for those who make athletes feel anxious. Let's all support athletes so they can play with all their might in a safe environment!
