Short-form video platform TikTok and FIFA today announced the creator correspondents for the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Thirty leading TikTok creators from around the world will share the tournament on TikTok from a creator-led, fan-first perspective. From Japan, Takuya⚽️REGATE Dribble School (@regate_takuya) has been selected. The program is based on TikTok and FIFA’s preferred platform agreement. Through TikTok’s global community of more than one billion monthly users, it aims to broaden audiences, increase discovery of live match broadcasts, and create new opportunities for FIFA media partners, while giving fans deeper access to tournament stories and connecting football fans around the world. The selected creators come from four continents, 11 countries, and 22 cities. Representing football fans across regions, they will bring the tournament’s appeal to audiences worldwide through their own languages, formats, and diverse perspectives. Rollo Goldstaub, TikTok Global Head of Sport, said: “Football culture is being shaped by TikTok’s new generation of creators. They are true fans with a genuine passion for the sport, and they have built enthusiastic communities around their love of the game. The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is football’s biggest stage. Through this program, we are delighted that a new generation of creators who have long followed leagues, players, and teams can become part of telling the story of the world’s biggest tournament.” Creator correspondents based in host cities across Canada, Mexico, and the United States will show audiences the FIFA World Cup 2026™ from outside the pitch. They will share behind-the-scenes moments that capture the reality of the competition, including team bus arrivals, matchday scenes, training sessions, press conferences, and warm-ups. Creator content will be available through the dedicated FIFA World Cup 2026™ hub powered by TikTok GamePlan, or by searching “FIFA World Cup” on TikTok. The special page will gather tournament-related content, creators, and broadcaster highlights, offering fans a place to enjoy the event more deeply. TikTok GamePlan is an integrated feature suite for sports teams, leagues, and broadcasters, including sports-specific hubs, livestream integrations, and advertising solutions designed to drive content discovery, deepen engagement, and support business outcomes. The 30 creator correspondents selected for the project were chosen for their deep passion for football, strong ties with their communities, and distinctive perspectives on the game.
