Buysell and Credit Saison Collaborate to Build an Ecosystem Centered on "Financializing Hidden Assets"

BuySell Technologies Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Kosuke Tokushige; hereinafter: Buysell) and Credit Saison Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and COO: Katsumi Mizuno; hereinafter: Credit Saison) have concluded a basic agreement for comprehensive collaboration (hereinafter: this collaboration).

This collaboration aims to create new businesses by both companies, with the goal of building a new ecosystem that visualizes and financializes personal belongings as "hidden assets" without letting them lie dormant, enabling their effective utilization as valuable resources.

■Background of this Collaboration

In recent years, against the backdrop of factors such as rising prices, soaring gold prices, and increasing demand for asset organization before inheritance, interest in the value of individuals' "belongings" and their optimal utilization has grown. The idea of utilizing "belongings" such as branded goods and precious metals as assets, rather than letting them lie dormant, is gaining traction.

Since 2015, Buysell has been operating a reuse business that buys and sells second-hand goods. Centered on in-home appraisal and store appraisal services, Buysell finds value in unwanted items nationwide, including kimonos, stamps, and branded goods, and connects them to those who need them again. Positioning the utilization of technology in its reuse business as a key strategy, Buysell is one of the fastest-growing companies in the reuse industry, achieving operational efficiency and data utilization through its proprietary products.

On the other hand, Credit Saison is an independent non-bank company founded in 1951 as a retail enterprise. With "Service-Oriented Company" as its management philosophy, it has developed various services by leveraging the strengths of its independence through partnerships and its "DNA of challenge and transformation" since its founding. It is also working to create new customer experiences by utilizing digital technology, such as the know-how cultivated in its payment business and in-house system development in its digital transformation strategy.

Through this collaboration, both companies will focus not only on financial assets but also on individuals' tangible assets, aiming to create new economic cycles and added value based on each customer's "total assets."

■Overview of this Collaboration

In this collaboration, we will consider and promote the following initiatives:

・Provision and expansion of appraisal and purchase services for Saison Card and UC Card members

・Creation of financial and non-financial businesses combining financial and tangible assets

As the first phase of this collaboration, the in-home appraisal and purchase service "Saison's Appraisal by Buysell" (hereinafter: this service) will be launched for Saison Card and UC Card members issued by Credit Saison, starting on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

■About "Saison's Appraisal by Buysell"

This service provides Buysell's in-home appraisal and purchase service to Saison Card and UC Card members (approximately 23 million people). Upon application, a Buysell appraiser will visit the customer's home to assess and purchase eligible items.

Furthermore, in conjunction with the launch of this service, we will offer "Home Treasure Total Diagnosis!!", a content that allows customers to easily and enjoyably get a simple appraisal of the asset value of their belongings.
