(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kaoru Hosokawa; TSE Growth: 9562), will host an online seminar on Tuesday, May 19, inviting Ms. Yuriko Katsura, representative of Rita address.

**Overview**

Managers who are troubled by "not knowing how to interact" with female employees, and female employees who feel confused or uncomfortable with the term "women's empowerment initiatives."

This seminar will approach the psychological gaps between both parties, resolve communication breakdowns in the workplace, and create a foundation where diverse talent can grow.

Has the term "women's empowerment" taken precedence, with systems and measures supposedly in place, yet the workplace still feels somewhat ineffective, a sense of "swinging and missing"? Despite efforts to promote it, progress seems stalled.

Behind this lies a deep "perception gap" hidden within organizations.

While managers on the ground are struggling with "not knowing the right way to get involved," female employees express confusion, asking, "Is it wrong to maintain the status quo?" or feeling "uncomfortable with the term 'women's empowerment' itself." Such "misalignment" is by no means an individual's responsibility.

The bias of those in power thinking, "Are their attitudes not progressive enough?" and the self-limiting perception of those being promoted, "I can't do it." The discrepancy in these underlying assumptions on both sides creates structural issues hidden within relationships.

Originally, women's empowerment initiatives are not localized measures targeting specific individuals. They are a crucial "management theme" for realizing human capital management and the active participation of all (DE&I).

In this seminar, we will invite Ms. Yuriko Katsura, who has served as ESG Promotion Office Manager at Takashimaya Co., Ltd. and as a director of group companies, and has continuously observed organizational conflicts from both a management perspective and on-site management. We will delve deeply into modern management approaches and the reinterpretation of unconscious bias.
