Every day, Burger King® receives numerous requests from all over the country to open new stores. The number of Burger King® stores in Japan, which was 77 nationwide at the end of May 2019, has increased by 273 stores over about 7 years, expanding by about 4.5 times to a total of 350 stores (as of Tuesday, April 14, 2026). We plan to continue aggressive new store openings, but we have received an overwhelming number of requests from customers nationwide, and we cannot keep up with the demand.
Therefore, to deliver the deliciousness of our 100% flame-grilled beef patties to people in areas where there are no stores yet, Burger King® will tour the country with a food truck. For 2026, we have selected Miyazaki City (Miyazaki), Saga City (Saga), and Yamaguchi City (Yamaguchi) as the first phase of locations in areas Burger King® has not yet reached. Regarding Yamaguchi Prefecture, the food truck visited Shimonoseki City last year, but this time it will make its first landing in Yamaguchi City.
The food truck will offer two items: Burger King®'s popular "Whopper® Cheese" and the limited-edition "Spicy BBQ Whopper®". You can choose either "Coca-Cola®" or "Coca-Cola® Zero" as the drink for your set.
The "Whopper® Cheese" is a popular item that lets you enjoy the classic Burger King® taste. It features Burger King®'s proud 100% flame-grilled beef patty layered with rich cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles for a flavor accent, finished with creamy mayo sauce and ketchup.
The "Spicy BBQ Whopper®" is a limited menu item only available at the food truck. It features a 100% flame-grilled beef patty layered with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles, finished with a double sauce: the rich and deep "Bull's-Eye™ BBQ Sauce" and a "Special Umami-Spicy Sauce" that adds the heat of chili peppers, the umami of garlic, and a hidden touch of broad bean chili paste.
