Burberry has announced a capsule collection in collaboration with Sir Quentin Blake, reflecting the artist’s unique sense of British imagination.

Daniel Lee, Burberry's Chief Creative Officer, remarked: "There is a magical quality to Quentin Blake’s illustrations, reminiscent of childhood. It feels quintessentially British, and I wanted to incorporate his wonderful world into Burberry's creations."

Sir Quentin Blake, knighted in 2013, has been beloved in the UK's art and children's literature scenes for approximately 70 years, known for his unique character designs and rich storytelling.

This capsule collection features bold, hand-drawn motifs across women's, men's, and children's categories. It includes varied artwork, such as pen-and-ink feather illustrations created for the 1971 English edition of Aristophanes' 'The Birds' and new, previously unreleased work depicting figures playing in nature.

## Collection Highlights
The collection serves as a canvas for the expressive power of one of Britain’s most iconic artists.

Signature lightweight tropical gabardine trench coats feature Blake’s feather artwork, reinterpreted through material processing and craftsmanship. The 'Penbury,' with its elegant silhouette, features a printed silk lining, while the streamlined 'Foxfield' includes three-dimensional embroidery. Every piece is finished with a Burberry Knight label signed by Blake.

The collection also utilizes printed silk across panels for knit t-shirts, light separates, ruffle dresses, and scarves. Soft cotton jersey t-shirts, tops, and sweatshirts also feature the artwork.

Accessories include cotton twill baseball caps and Scottish-made cashmere scarves embroidered with capsule motifs. The scarves are carefully brushed for superior softness.

## Sir Quentin Blake and Burberry’s Commitment to Art
Sir Quentin Blake is celebrated for collaborations with many authors, most notably Roald Dahl. He served as the first Children's Laureate from 1999 to 2001, was awarded a CBE in 2005, knighted in 2013 for his contributions to illustration, and appointed a Companion of Honour by Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.

The 'Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration,' the UK's first permanent facility dedicated to illustration, is set to open on June 5, 2026. Burberry has a long history of supporting the arts and is providing funding for the center to support staff and volunteer training, illustrator-led workshops, inclusive community programs, and monthly sessions for LGBTQI+ families starting in July.
