BUNCOMI FANTASY, the comic label of Bungeishunjū, has released the first volume of the manga ‘Sherlock+ Academy’ (original story: Kyosuke Kamishiro, art: Ametchaya, character design: Shirabi) today, June 16, 2026.

The original light novel of the same name, released in 2023, received high acclaim, ranking 10th in the overall new works category of ‘This Light Novel is Amazing! 2024.’ Amid strong fan demand for a manga adaptation, serialization began on Bungeishunjū’s comic site BUNCOMI in February 2026. It quickly gained popularity on social media, with users praising it as an ‘ideal manga adaptation with thoughtful visual storytelling of mysteries’ and noting the ‘high-quality artwork for characters, daily life scenes, and deduction sequences.’ The series reached #1 on BUNCOMI’s PV ranking (as of March 25, 2026).

Story

In a world where detectives have become essential professionals to combat a surge in heinous crimes,

Fujisaki Misa, a student at Japan’s detective training academy, Shinri Mine Detective Academy, meets a beautiful girl.
