From April 1st, Kuniko Mukoda's Works in "Bunshun Bunko" will Feature Special Obi for the 45th Anniversary of Her Passing. A Campaign to Win Original Scarves, Commercialized by Onward Kashiyama's <uncrave> in Homage to Mukoda, Also Begins!

Bungeishunju Ltd. (Headquarters: Kioicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Naruyuki Iikubo) will hold a present campaign for works published under its 'Bunshun Bunko' imprint from Wednesday, April 1, 2026, to Thursday, December 31, 2026, to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Kuniko Mukoda's passing. This initiative aims to convey the timeless charm of Mukoda's works.

● Kuniko Mukoda Profile (Owned by Bungeishunju) Born in Tokyo in Showa 4 (1929). Graduated from Jissen Women's Vocational School, Japanese Language Department. After working as an editor for a film magazine, she became a broadcast writer, active in radio and television. Her representative works include "Daikon no Hana," "Shichinin no Mago," "Terauchi Kantaro Ikka," and "Ashura no Gotoku." In Showa 55 (1980), she received the 83rd Naoki Prize for her short stories "Hana no Namae," "Kawauso," and "Inugoya," marking her entry into writing. However, she passed away suddenly in an airplane accident in August, Showa 56 (1981). Her numerous books include "Chichi no Wabijo," "Mumei Kajin Meibo," "Reichorui Hitoka Doubutsu Zukan," "Nemuru Sakazuki," "Omoide Trump," and "A-Un." In addition to her literary works, books and mooks focusing on her lifestyle and fashion have also been published. Special exhibitions are held in milestone years, continuing to attract many people even today.
