The National Museum of Art, Osaka will host the following programs in summer and autumn 2026, enabling people of all ages—from infants to adults—to enjoy art. In July, a program for teachers will also be held. Additionally, "Miru+ (Plus)," an inclusive program where people who cannot see, have low vision, or can see fully enjoy artworks together, will be offered.

● Multicultural Connection Program "Let’s Look at and Talk About Artworks"

A program designed for high school students with roots in Japan or abroad, and for those currently learning Japanese. After a slide talk, participants will view artworks in the exhibition space with museum staff. The program will be conducted in easy Japanese.

● Viewing Program for Teachers 2026 "Let’s Enjoy Art Cards!"

An experiential program using the "National Museum of Art Art Card Set," useful for art appreciation lessons and their introduction. On the day, participants can freely visit the special exhibition "Hiroshi Sato: Laboratory" and the concurrent "50th Anniversary Preview Project: Collection 1: I / Action." A consultation session will also be held.

● Miru+ (Plus) "The Museum Expands from Miró: Let’s Talk Together"

Experience Joan Miró’s "The Laughing Stock," a signature artwork of our museum, using tactile tools while sensing the architectural space with your body. Afterward, move to the collection exhibition. Divided into groups, participants will switch members midway and discuss two artworks, encountering diverse ways of seeing and feeling.

● Tiny Kids Art Time – With Picture Books

A time when crying, laughing, or chatting is perfectly fine. Starting with picture book reading, participants prepare to encounter artworks before heading to the exhibition space. This is a relaxed program—please feel welcome to join with peace of mind. Let’s enjoy museum experiences from age zero, freely and joyfully.

On the third session of September 2, "Komekko," an organization that nurtures children’s sign language abilities, will conduct picture book readings and gallery talks in sign language.
