March 2026 Homemaker Job Average Hourly Wage: Part-time at 1,255 JPY, Dispatch at 1,488 JPY – 'Food & Beverage' reaches 1,200 JPY for the first time

[Part-time/Arbeit] The national average hourly wage for all occupations was 1,255 JPY. This is a decrease of 7 JPY from the previous month and an increase of 48 JPY from the same month last year. [Temporary Dispatch] The national average hourly wage for all occupations was 1,488 JPY. This is an increase of 5 JPY from the previous month and an increase of 57 JPY from the same month last year. The average hourly wage for part-time and arbeit workers decreased from the previous month. By category, 'Food & Beverage' reached the 1,200 JPY range for the first time, hitting a record high since September 2020, when comparison under the same conditions became possible. On the other hand, average hourly wages decreased mainly in 'Facility Services' and 'Medical/Nursing/Long-term Care.' One factor is believed to be that the end of postings for some high-wage jobs pushed down the average. Excluding these effects, the overall trend is considered to be generally flat. The average hourly wage for temporary dispatch workers hit a record high for the third consecutive month since September 2020. By category, 11 out of 12 categories exceeded the same month of the previous year, showing an increase in wages across a wide range of occupations. 'Housework, Childcare, and Lessons' has hit a record high for three consecutive months.
