This time, they will experience planting Shichitoi. Known as the plant used for the surface of 'Ryukyu tatami' mats, Shichitoi was brought from Okinawa to Oita during the Edo period. Today, it is an extremely rare and historically significant plant cultivated only on the Kunisaki Peninsula in Oita Prefecture.

At the rice paddy of Mr. Iwakiri, a Shichitoi craft artist who is part of the show's family, friends they regularly interact with gathered to help, including Dr. Morita, a 'Mochitokibi' (sticky sorghum) expert, and the strawberry farmer Mr. Kanemasa and his wife. While struggling with the sensation, which is completely different from rice planting, the work proceeded in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere.
