Unexpected incidents during traditional Suifu lantern making!? How does Ueda react to Enari's travel plan?
Shinya Ueda of Cream Stew and actor Kazuki Enari are so close that they even travel together privately. So, Enari decided to turn their two-man trip into a TV program, creating his own 'travel itinerary.' Just like their private trips, Enari proceeds with the journey according to the itinerary, guiding Ueda to shrines and temples, which Ueda says he's "recently gotten into." Cameras roll even inside the car during their travels, documenting their usual friendly two-man trip in a documentary style! This program introduces the heartwarming and amusing journey of the natural Ueda and Enari, which cannot be seen in other variety shows. How will Ueda respond with his tsukkomi (retorts) to Enari's wholehearted project?
They arrived by car from Tokyo at Oosugi Shrine in Inashiki City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Ueda says, "I seem to have a lot of evil spirits attached to me, but I'll carry them and live on," but Enari guides him through unique prayers like "Kawarake-wari" (earthenware breaking) and "Negai-ya" (wish arrows) to cut off bad ties. Ueda and Enari, both experienced archers, get excited about achieving their dreams and increasing their financial luck with the "Negai-ya"...
They also visited "Katsuma Shrine," which is frequented by JRA officials and horse racing fans due to its proximity to the JRA Miho Training Center. Ueda and Enari, both horse racing enthusiasts, pray for a huge payout in a G1 race? Horse lovers will be thrilled!? Ueda exclaims in admiration at a mysterious chinquapin tree! Furthermore, pay attention to the hilarious conversation with the chief priest, who even retorts to Ueda's tsukkomi.
For lunch, Enari wanted Ueda to "taste Hitachi beef," so they headed to a restaurant in Mito City. When Ueda heard the location, he complained, "Is it that far? I'm hungry, can you stop by a convenience store?" causing Enari to panic.
The two make lanterns while being taught by the shop owner, but only Ueda's technique is highly praised.
Next, they visited "Kageyama Rihei Shoten" in Mito City, founded in 1798 (Kansei 10). While learning about the characteristics of traditional Suifu lanterns at this shop, which handcrafts and sells them, Ueda and Enari also tried their hand at making lanterns. As the two made lanterns while being taught by the shop owner, for some reason, only Ueda's technique was highly praised. How will Enari react to Ueda's condescending remark, "Not good, huh?"!?
