BRJ Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hidemitsu Miyachi, hereinafter "BRJ"), a company dedicated to providing safe electric mobility solutions to address "transportation deserts" in rural areas, has launched a wrapped three-wheeled electric seat board featuring the design of "Emilie Floge," a patisserie established in Tachikawa City, Tokyo in 1980.

This initiative is part of the "Local Wrapping Sponsorship" program, aimed at revitalizing regional economies through mobility. Under this service, local businesses and organizations that support the next-generation mobility service "TOCKLE" can have their preferred designs wrapped onto vehicles. This initiative unites local businesses, residents, visitors, and BRJ to promote regional revitalization.

Background of Service Launch

This mobility service aims not only to provide transportation but also to revitalize local economies by leveraging mobility as a starting point. We believe that local businesses, including members of chambers of commerce and industry—the backbone of regional economies—are essential partners in creating the charm of our cities.

To visualize local support, we have created a system in which sponsored wrapping vehicles, carrying the spirit of community support, travel through the city. By connecting local businesses, residents, and visitors through mobility, we aim to foster new vibrancy and cultivate civic pride within the community.

TOCKLE's Commitment to Safety

1: Focusing on Rural Areas, Not Urban Centers

In rural areas, public transportation such as buses and trains face existential threats due to deficits, reduced service, and driver shortages. TOCKLE aims to address these "transportation deserts." Additionally, rural areas generally have lower traffic volumes and wider roads compared to urban centers, making them more suitable for safe operations. For these two reasons—solving regional challenges and ensuring safety—TOCKLE primarily focuses on deployment in rural areas.

2: Preventing Entry into Hazardous Areas with Geo-fencing

TOCKLE is equipped with a safety system called "geo-fencing," which uses GPS to detect vehicle location and automatically stops the vehicle when it enters a restricted zone. Municipalities can flexibly define these no-entry zones based on local conditions.

3: Complete Ban on Nighttime Operations

In the electric mobility industry, it is common practice to consider nighttime as a peak earning period, as people often use these vehicles for long-distance travel after missing the last train. However, it is also an industry reality that some users operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol during late hours. Safety must take precedence over profit. Therefore, TOCKLE prohibits nighttime operations in all regions.
