[Growing Interest in Bear Countermeasures] Over 100 Inquiries from Municipalities and Corporations Within a Month After Autonomy WEEK Exhibition

Bojo Kenkyujo (Headquarters: Ogaki, Gifu Prefecture) exhibited at 'Autonomy WEEK 2026,' held at Tokyo Big Sight from May 13 to 15, 2026.

We are pleased to announce that during the exhibition, we received many visitors from municipal and corporate sectors, and within less than a month since the exhibition, we have received over 100 inquiries regarding bear countermeasures.

In recent years, reports of bear sightings and human harm have been emerging nationwide, leading to increased interest in safety measures among municipalities and corporations.

Against this social backdrop, Bojo Kenkyujo showcased its bear countermeasure solutions at Autonomy WEEK 2026, specifically the AI bear detection system 'BE ALERT' and the portable bear countermeasure device 'IKAZUCHI.'

[Over 100 Inquiries from Municipalities and Corporations] Following the exhibition, we received over 30 inquiries, primarily from municipalities, the construction industry, forestry, tourism and leisure facilities, and infrastructure-related companies.

Furthermore, more than 10 of these inquiries were from news organizations such as newspapers and TV stations regarding interviews and requests for information.

The significant response not only from municipalities and corporations but also from media outlets reaffirms the high level of concern regarding bear countermeasures.

Main consultation topics included: - Initial responses during bear sightings - Establishing monitoring systems around facilities - Ensuring safety for workers - Safety measures for users of tourism facilities - Considering the introduction of bear countermeasures by municipalities - Methods for using in combination with existing measures

Particularly in recent years, bear sightings have been reported not only in mountainous areas but also around residential areas, indicating that movements to consider concrete measures among municipalities and corporations are spreading.

[Exhibited Products] - AI Bear Detection System 'BE ALERT' This bear countermeasure system utilizes AI image analysis technology to provide warnings and repel bears upon detection. By installing it around facilities and work sites, it helps reduce the risk of bear encounters.

- Portable Bear Countermeasure Device 'IKAZUCHI' Developed as a portable device, this product is aimed at ensuring safety for those engaged in forestry work and patrol operations.
