Bot Express Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kazuki Nakajima; hereinafter referred to as Bot Express) regularly holds free online seminars, 'Bot Express Showcase,' sharing DX case studies of government agencies and local authorities. We are pleased to announce that the next seminar will be held on Monday, May 25. The theme for this event is 'Implementing Multilingual Support, Automated Responses, and Disaster Information Distribution with AI. Design and Operation of Atsugi City LINE Official Account's Full Renewal.'
1. Seminar Overview
Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, opened its LINE official account in August 2020 and integrated 'GovTech Express,' an extended service for LINE official accounts, in December 2023. Since then, it has been widely utilized for various purposes, including event and course reservations, public facility searches, creation of 'My Timelines,' and public comment solicitations.
On April 1, 2026, the LINE official account underwent a full renewal with the aim of improving searchability using AI and providing comprehensive information dissemination. The key points are 'improving searchability using AI' and 'comprehensive information dissemination.'
Previously, site searches were based on keyword matching, making it difficult to find necessary information. This has been improved by AI, allowing access to target information from free-form text and images. Furthermore, in response to the increase in foreign residents and the challenge of not being able to view past distributions, 'language settings' and 'distribution history' have been implemented. This creates an environment where individuals can check necessary information in their own language. Information dissemination has evolved to 'deliver necessary information to necessary people,' ensuring no one is left behind.
On the day of the seminar, Mr. Nagai from Atsugi City's DX Promotion Division, Kanagawa Prefecture, will speak about how AI utilization and multilingual support were designed and integrated into internal operations. Mr. Niikura, Partner Success Manager from Bot Express, will also present, explaining AI functions that can be implemented in 'Smartphone City Hall' with demonstrations.
