The maternal and child health handbook app "Boshi-mo," operated by Boshi-mo Co., Ltd., has been introduced in Misato Town, Kodama District, Saitama Prefecture, and will be offered as "mimuco" starting July 1 (Wed).
Misato Town aims to realize a society where families raising children can live healthy and fulfilling lives, while addressing various issues surrounding children and young people, based on the fundamental philosophy of "A beautiful village full of dreams and hope where children and young people can live fulfilling lives."
"Boshi-mo," which allows digital recording of paper maternal and child health handbook data and is used in over 880 municipalities, has been adopted. The service will commence operations in line with the Children and Families Agency's policy of promoting the use of electronic maternal and child health handbooks and maternal and child health DX※1. "Boshi-mo" is an app that easily supports vaccination schedules, health checkup result management, and regional information distribution via smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Data is stored in the cloud, serving as a backup in case of loss of the maternal and child health handbook due to disasters, and also supports continued use when moving to another municipality or changing devices, allowing for worry-free usage.
◆"Boshi-mo" Launches Service in Misato Town, Saitama Prefecture, Featuring a Support System Focused on Each Parent!
Misato Town provides a "Mimurin Childbirth Allowance" of 50,000 yen for each child born in the town, celebrating the birth of children and aiming to reduce the financial burden on families raising children.
Furthermore, the town regularly offers opportunities for parent-child interaction and dialogue with specialists such as speech-language-hearing therapists and occupational therapists through programs like "Rhythmic" for playing with music, "Child-rearing Class" for enjoying toy making, and consultation services for child-rearing and development.
This initiative aims to provide parents with a system where they can acquire child-rearing knowledge while enjoying themselves and can consult about their anxieties and concerns early on.
To make the town's initiatives more accessible to families raising children, "Boshi-mo" has been adopted as a new tool for disseminating child-rearing information.
◆A Community-Focused Child-Rearing App to Thoroughly Support Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Child-Rearing!
"mimuco," adopted by Misato Town, is a service compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs. It offers convenient features to assist busy mothers and fathers juggling child-rearing and work, including recording and managing health data for pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and child-rearing, sharing functions with family members such as grandparents living in distant areas, and notifying users of regional information distributed by the town.
"Dekiyayo Kinenbi" (Anniversary of Accomplishment), which can be used as a child-rearing diary, is created based on the Children and Families Agency's sample maternal and child health handbook format. It not only allows users to record developmental milestones and memorable parenting moments, including the "Parent's Record" section of the maternal and child health handbook, with photos and messages, but also serves as a guide for the child's growth and development.
Additionally, in the event of social environmental changes due to factors like infectious diseases, the app can instantly deliver important information such as cautionary notices from the municipality and advice from public health nurses via text and video to those who need it, supporting an environment where childbirth and child-rearing can be done with peace of mind even in emergencies.

Our company's vision is to eliminate the friction coefficient in pregnancy and child-rearing. To achieve this, we are promoting further expansion and collaboration in support areas (maternal and infant health checkups, vaccinations, infant health checkups, etc.) through "Kosodate DX®"※2, establishing one-stop applications and procedures related to child-rearing, and promoting the linkage of maternal and child health information with related organizations (medical, childcare/education, specialized institutions, etc.). Through these efforts, we aim to reduce parents' "anxiety and burden" and co-create a "safe and simple" child-rearing society with the community.
