Mother and Child Health Handbook App 'Boshimo' Launches in Kotake Town, Fukuoka Prefecture!

The mother and child health handbook app 'Boshimo', operated by Boshimo Co., Ltd., has been introduced in Kotake Town, Kurate District, Fukuoka Prefecture, and will be offered as the 'Child-Rearing Support App Kotake' starting July 1 (Wed).

Kotake Town's basic philosophy is 'A town where children, parents, and the community grow together, "Kotake"', and the town is actively working to create a system that supports child-rearing households throughout the town, enabling parents and the community to grow along with their children.

'Boshimo', which allows digital recording of paper mother and child health handbook data and is used in over 880 municipalities, has been adopted. The service will commence operations in line with the Digital Mother and Child Health Handbook utilization policy by the Children and Families Agency and the promotion of mother and child health DX※1.

'Boshimo' is an app that easily supports vaccination schedules, health checkup result management, and regional information distribution via smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Data is stored in the cloud, serving as a backup in case of loss of the mother and child health handbook due to disasters, and also supports continued use when moving to another municipality or changing devices, allowing for worry-free usage.

◆'Boshimo' Launches in Kotake Town, Fukuoka Prefecture, Offering a Support System That Accompanies Both Children and Guardians!

Kotake Town supports the finances of child-rearing households by providing 50,000 yen for each child born in the town through the 'Kotake Town Childbirth Incentive Payment Project'.

Furthermore, through the 'Childcare Anyone Can Attend System', a place is provided for children under three years old who have not yet entered preschool to have diverse experiences and interactions with others in an environment different from home. This fosters children's growth and social skills, while also establishing a system to support all child-rearing families, regardless of their work style or lifestyle.

To enable child-rearing households to utilize the town's initiatives more conveniently, 'Boshimo' has been adopted as a new tool for disseminating child-rearing information.

The 'Child-Rearing Support App Kotake', adopted by Kotake Town, is a service compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs. It offers a wealth of convenient features to assist busy mothers and fathers juggling childcare and work, including recording and managing health data for pregnant women, mothers, and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and child-rearing, sharing functions with family members such as grandparents living in distant areas, and notifying users of regional information distributed by the town.

'Dekiyō Kinenbi' (Milestone of Accomplishments), which can be used as a child-rearing diary, is created based on examples from the Children and Families Agency's mother and child health handbook format. It not only allows users to record developmental milestones and child-rearing related anniversaries, including the 'Guardian's Record' section of the mother and child health handbook, with photos and messages, but also serves as a guide for the child's growth and development.

Additionally, in the event of social environmental changes due to factors like infectious diseases, the app can instantly deliver important information such as cautionary notices from the municipality and advice from public health nurses to those who need it via text and video, supporting an environment where childbirth and child-rearing can be done with peace of mind even in emergencies.
