The mother and child health handbook app "Boshimo," operated by Boshimo Co., Ltd., will begin offering services as "Kosuge Village Oyako Techou" in Kosuge Village, Kitatsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture, starting Wednesday, July 1st.

Kosuge Village's basic philosophy is "A village where children and families can live with peace of mind, Kosuge." By enhancing the childcare support system throughout the community, the village is working to create an environment where children and young people can live happily.

"Boshimo," which allows digital recording of paper mother and child health handbook data and is adopted in over 880 municipalities, has now been selected. The service will commence operations in line with the Children and Families Agency's policy of utilizing electronic mother and child health handbooks and promoting DX in maternal and child health.

"Boshimo" is an app that easily supports vaccination schedules, health checkup result management, and regional information distribution via smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Data is stored in the cloud, serving as a backup in case of loss of the mother and child health handbook due to disasters, and also supports continued use when moving to another municipality or changing devices, allowing for worry-free usage.

◆"Boshimo" Launches in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, Supporting Child-Rearing Families Village-Wide!

Kosuge Village provides a birth congratulatory payment of 30,000 yen for the first child, 50,000 yen for the second child, and 100,000 yen for the third child, for those who have resided in the village for over a year and continue to reside there with their children after childbirth. This supports child-rearing households and promotes settlement in the village.

Additionally, the village holds "Bebi Mama Exchange Meetings" where children before entering nursery school and their guardians can gather, interact, and exchange information. At "Arinko Childcare Support" in Kosuge Village Nursery School, an environment is prepared where parents can face childcare with peace of mind while connecting with nursery teachers and children.

To enable child-rearing families to utilize the village's initiatives more conveniently, "Boshimo" has been adopted as a new tool for disseminating childcare information.

It offers convenient features to assist busy mothers and fathers juggling childcare and work, including recording and managing health data for pregnant women and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and childcare, sharing functions with family members such as grandparents living far away, and notifying users of regional information distributed by the village.

"Dekiyodayo Kinenbi" (Anniversary of Accomplishment), which can be used as a childcare diary, is created based on the Children and Families Agency's sample mother and child health handbook format. It allows users to record milestones in a child's development and child-rearing, including the "Parent's Record" section of the mother and child health handbook, along with photos and messages. It also serves as a guide for a child's growth and development.

Furthermore, in the event of social environmental changes due to factors like infectious diseases, the app can instantly deliver important information such as cautionary notices from the municipality and advice from public health nurses to those who need it via text and video, supporting an environment where childbirth and child-rearing can be done with peace of mind even in emergencies.
