Boshi-mo Co., Ltd.'s Maternal and Child Health Handbook app "Boshi-mo" has been introduced in Matsuzaki Town, Kamo-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture, and began its service as "Matchy Child-Rearing Navi" on Wednesday, April 1st.

Matsuzaki Town, under its basic philosophy of "Connecting the Circle of Child-Rearing to the Future," promotes the creation of an environment where children can grow up healthy, both physically and mentally, and where parents can confidently give birth and raise children, not only through parental support but also through human interaction and mutual support within the community.

This time, "Boshi-mo," which can record paper Maternal and Child Health Handbook data as digital data and has been introduced in over 830 municipalities, was adopted. Its operation commences in line with the Children and Families Agency's policy※1 to promote the utilization of electronic Maternal and Child Health Handbooks and maternal and child health DX.

"Boshi-mo" is an app that easily supports vaccination schedules, health checkup result management, and local information distribution on smartphones, tablet devices, and PCs. Since data is saved on the cloud, it serves as a backup in case the Maternal and Child Health Handbook is lost due to disasters, and also supports continuous use when moving to other municipalities or changing devices, allowing users to continue using it with peace of mind.

Matsuzaki Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, Launches "Boshi-mo" to Support Child-Rearing Families with Child Growth-Oriented Assistance!

Matsuzaki Town provides 30,000 yen worth of gift certificates to each child upon enrollment in elementary or junior high school and upon graduation from junior high school. This initiative supports the start of new lives throughout the town and also contributes to strengthening community ties and revitalizing economic activities.

Furthermore, by establishing the after-school children's club "Matsubokkuri Club," the town is creating safe places for children and developing an environment that supports parents in balancing work and childcare.

This time, "Boshi-mo" was adopted as a new tool for disseminating child-rearing information, to allow child-rearing households to utilize the town's initiatives more conveniently.

Comprehensive Support for Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Child-Rearing with a Community-Based Child-Rearing App!

"Matchy Child-Rearing Navi," adopted by Matsuzaki Town, is a service compatible with smartphones, tablet devices, and PCs. It offers a wealth of convenient features that assist busy mothers and fathers with childcare and work, such as recording and managing health data for pregnant women and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and child-rearing, sharing functions with family members like grandparents living in distant areas, and notifying users of local information distributed by the town.

The "Dekitayo Kinenbi" (I Did It Anniversary) feature, which can be used as a child-rearing diary, was created based on the Children and Families Agency's Maternal and Child Health Handbook format examples. It not only allows users to record developmental stages and child-rearing milestones, including the "Parent's Record" from the Maternal and Child Health Handbook, with photos and messages, but also serves as a guideline for children's growth and development.

Moreover, even when social environmental changes occur due to factors like infectious diseases, the app can instantly deliver important information such as alerts from the municipality and advice from public health nurses, via text and video, to those who need it. This supports the creation of an environment where childbirth and child-rearing can be done with peace of mind even in emergencies.

### Comment from Jun'ya Fukazawa, Mayor of Matsuzaki Town, Shizuoka Prefecture

The Maternal and Child Health Handbook app "Matchy Child-Rearing Navi" will be renewed in April 2026 (Reiwa 8).

Currently, the town faces the significant challenge of a declining birthrate. Precisely because of this situation, the town values each child even more as a "treasure of the community" and is promoting a system where no family feels isolated, with the entire town watching over them.

"Matchy Child-Rearing Navi" is not merely a record-keeping tool. It allows parents to easily manage vaccination schedules, receive support information from the town, and check consultation points for child-rearing concerns on their smartphones, thus addressing parents' anxieties.

We will strengthen support on both hardware and software fronts so that child-rearing generations can truly feel "it was good to raise children in this town," by digitally connecting the spirit of mutual aid ("Yui") that thrives in Matsuzaki Town. Let's build a warm future filled with children's smiles together.
