Boshi Mo Co., Ltd.'s maternal and child health handbook app 'Boshi Mo' has been introduced in Matsukawa Village, Kitaazumi District, Nagano Prefecture, and began its service as 'Matsukawa Village Child-rearing App Matsuiku' on Wednesday, April 1st.
Matsukawa Village is promoting village development based on the basic philosophy of "a village full of children's smiles," where the entire community supports children's healthy growth and parents' joy in raising children, leading to adults also smiling from children's happiness.
This time, 'Boshi Mo,' which allows paper maternal and child health handbook data to be recorded as digital data and has been adopted by over 830 local governments, has been adopted. Operations will commence in line with the Children and Families Agency's policy of utilizing electronic maternal and child health handbooks and promoting maternal and child health DX*1.
'Boshi Mo' is an app that easily supports vaccination schedules, health check-up result management, and local information distribution via smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Since data is stored in the cloud, it serves as a backup in case of loss of the maternal and child health handbook due to disasters, and also supports continuous use when moving to another municipality or changing device models, allowing users to continue using it with peace of mind.
◆'Boshi Mo' begins offering in Matsukawa Village, Nagano Prefecture, a village where child-rearing households can live with peace of mind through unique village support!
Matsukawa Village warmly supports child-rearing households with unique and warm support, such as the HAPPY BABY Project "Gift from Matsukawa Village," which celebrates the birth of a child and prays for healthy growth by presenting "natural wood fragments (building blocks)" or "wooden bells (rattles)."
In addition, "Community School Volunteers" are active, aiming to solve issues faced by children by utilizing local power in school management. Parents and local residents are involved with children through watching over them during commuting, learning support, club activity support, and acting as instructors utilizing their expertise, working together as a community to realize high-quality school education.
This time, 'Boshi Mo' was adopted as a new tool for disseminating childcare information to make the village's initiatives more conveniently accessible to child-rearing households.
◆Comprehensive support for pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare with a community-based childcare app!
'Matsukawa Village Child-rearing App Matsuiku,' adopted by Matsukawa Village, is a service compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs. It is equipped with convenient functions that help busy mothers and fathers with childcare and work, such as recording and managing health data for pregnant women and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and childcare, sharing functions with family members such as grandparents living in distant areas, and notifying local information distributed by the village.
The "Dekitayo Kinenbi" (Achievement Anniversary) function, which can be used as a childcare diary, was created based on the Children and Families Agency's maternal and child health handbook format examples. It allows users to record developmental stages, including the "parent's record" in the maternal and child health handbook, and anniversaries related to childcare with photos and messages, and also serves as a guide for children's growth and development.
Furthermore, even when social environmental changes occur due to infectious diseases or other factors, important information such as cautionary notices from the local government and advice from public health nurses can be instantly delivered to those who need it via text or video through the app, supporting the creation of an environment where childbirth and childcare can be carried out with peace of mind even in emergencies.
Matsukawa Village has been promoting village development where children can be born and raised with peace of mind amidst rich nature and community ties, by implementing free school lunch fees for elementary and junior high schools and free welfare medical expenses for children up to 18 years old.
By introducing the maternal and child health handbook app 'Matsukawa Village Child-rearing App Matsuiku,' we will deliver easy-to-understand information from pregnancy to childcare and further enhance support that is close to parents. We will utilize the power of digital technology to create a childcare environment where no one is left behind and support the healthy growth of children who will lead the future, as a whole village.
