Boshi-mo Co., Ltd.'s maternal and child health handbook app 'Boshi-mo' has been introduced in Koami Town, Minamisaku District, Nagano Prefecture, and began offering services as the 'Koumi Child-rearing Support App' on April 1st (Wednesday).

Koami Town's basic philosophy is "a town where all children grow up healthy in mind and body, and are born and raised brightly and energetically." The town aims to create a community where all children can grow up safely and freely, supported by families and the community, and where parents can experience the joy and purpose of child-rearing.

This time, 'Boshi-mo,' which allows paper maternal and child health handbook data to be recorded as digital data and has been adopted by over 830 local governments, was selected. Operations will commence in line with the Children and Families Agency's policy*1 to promote the utilization of electronic maternal and child health handbooks and maternal and child health DX.

'Boshi-mo' is an app that easily supports vaccination schedules, health check-up result management, and local information distribution via smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Since data is stored in the cloud, it serves as a backup in case of loss of the maternal and child health handbook due to disasters, and also supports continuous use when moving to another municipality or changing device models, allowing users to continue using it with peace of mind.

◆ 'Boshi-mo' Starts Service in Koami Town, Nagano Prefecture, a Town Attractive for Its Support for Children and Parents to Grow and Raise Children with Peace of Mind!

Koami Town provides "Child-rearing Support Coupons (p-money)" at milestones when expenses increase, such as children's enrollment and graduation. It also actively works to reduce the economic burden on child-rearing households, for example, by subsidizing diaper purchase costs.

Furthermore, the 1-year-old consultation program offers individual interviews for developmental checks and consultations on child-rearing concerns, and provides two picture books to encourage reading aloud, enriching policies that broadly support child-rearing families.

This time, 'Boshi-mo' was adopted as a new tool for disseminating child-rearing information to make the town's initiatives more convenient for child-rearing households.

◆ Comprehensive Support for Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Child-rearing with a Community-Based Child-rearing App!

The 'Koumi Child-rearing Support App' adopted by Koami Town is a service compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs. It is packed with convenient features that help busy mothers and fathers with child-rearing and work, such as recording and managing health data for pregnant women and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and child-rearing, a sharing function with family members such as grandparents living in distant areas, and notifying users of local information distributed by the town.

The "Dekitayo Kinenbi" (I Did It Anniversary) feature, which can be used as a child-rearing diary, was created based on the Children and Families Agency's maternal and child health handbook format examples. It allows users to record developmental stages and child-rearing anniversaries, including the "Parent's Record" from the maternal and child health handbook, with photos and messages, and also serves as a guide for a child's growth and development.

Furthermore, even when social environmental changes occur due to infectious diseases or other factors, the app can instantly deliver important information such as cautionary notices from the local government and advice from public health nurses to those who need it via text and video, supporting the creation of an environment where childbirth and child-rearing can be done with peace of mind even in emergencies.

Our company's vision is to reduce the friction coefficient related to pregnancy and child-rearing to zero. To achieve this, we are promoting further expansion and collaboration of support areas through 'Child-rearing DX®'*2 (e.g., prenatal check-ups, vaccinations, infant check-ups), the establishment of an all-in-one application and procedure system for child-rearing, and collaboration of maternal and child health information with related organizations (medical, childcare/education, specialized institutions, etc.). Through these efforts, we aim to co-create a child-rearing society that is "safe and simple" by reducing parents' "anxiety and burden" together with local communities.
