Boshimo Inc., which operates the maternal and child health handbook app 'Boshimo', has introduced the app in Ando Town, Ikoma District, Nara Prefecture, starting its provision as 'Kosodate App Ando' on April 1st (Wednesday).

Ando Town's basic philosophy is 'An Ando Town where children are born and grow up healthily', and it promotes the creation of a town where everyone can live with peace of mind, with each resident supporting child-rearing so that children can grow up healthily with dreams and hopes.

'Boshimo', which can record data from paper maternal and child health handbooks digitally and is adopted by over 830 municipalities, has now been adopted by Ando Town. Operations will commence in line with the government's policy to utilize electronic maternal and child health handbooks and promote maternal and child health DX※1.

'Boshimo' is an app that easily supports the management of vaccination schedules and health checkup results, as well as local information delivery, via smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Since data is stored in the cloud, it serves as a backup in case of loss of the maternal and child health handbook due to disasters, and it also supports continuous use when moving to another municipality or changing devices, allowing users to continue using it with peace of mind.

◆ 'Boshimo' is now available in Ando Town, Nara Prefecture, which offers extensive child-rearing support to alleviate parental anxiety!

In Ando Town, the 'Child-rearing Household Visiting Support Project' is being implemented, where specialized visiting support staff visit homes to assist with meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and child-rearing support when needed. This aims to reduce the burden of daily life and create an environment where parents can raise children with peace of mind.

Furthermore, 'Kirarie' has been opened as a space where parents and infants can easily gather, play, and interact. It offers diverse child-rearing support programs, including parent-child events, to deepen parent-child interaction. It also allows consultations with midwives, public health nurses, and childcare workers about parenting concerns, ensuring that child-rearing families do not become isolated and can connect with necessary support.

'Boshimo' has been adopted as a new tool for disseminating child-rearing information to make the town's initiatives more convenient for child-rearing households.

◆ Thoroughly support pregnancy, childbirth, and child-rearing with a locally-focused child-rearing app!

The 'Kosodate App Ando', adopted by Ando Town, is a service compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs. It is equipped with convenient features to help busy mothers and fathers juggling childcare and work, such as recording and managing health data for pregnant women and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and child-rearing, sharing functions with family members like grandparents living far away, and notifying users about information distributed by the town.

'Dekita yo Kinenbi' (Anniversary of Accomplishment), which can be used as a parenting diary, is created based on sample formats from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's maternal and child health handbook. It allows users to record milestones in a child's development and child-rearing journey, including those in the 'parent's record' section of the maternal and child health handbook, along with photos and messages. It also serves as a benchmark for a child's growth and development.

Additionally, even during social environmental changes caused by factors like infectious diseases, the app can instantly deliver important information such as alerts from the municipality and advice from public health nurses to those who need it via text and video, supporting the creation of an environment where people can give birth and raise children with peace of mind even in emergencies.

To achieve this, we are promoting the expansion and collaboration of support areas (prenatal/postnatal checkups, vaccinations, infant checkups, etc.) through 'Kosodate DX®'※2, the establishment of one-stop application and procedure systems for child-rearing, and the linkage of maternal and child health information with relevant organizations (medical, childcare/education, specialized institutions, etc.).
