Mother and Child Mo Co., Ltd.'s maternal and child health handbook app 'Boshi Mo' has been introduced in Iizuna Town, Kamiminochi District, Nagano Prefecture, and will begin providing services as the 'Maternal and Child Health Handbook App' from April 1 (Wednesday).

Iizuna Town's basic philosophy is "A town where children's happiness blossoms like apples – aiming for a town filled with happiness and hope, where everyone supports child-rearing and child development." The town is promoting community development that supports the growth of all children throughout the region, so that parents can feel joy and hope in raising children.

This time, 'Boshi Mo,' which allows paper maternal and child health handbook data to be recorded as digital data and has been adopted by over 830 municipalities, was selected. Operations will commence in line with the Child and Family Agency's policy*1 to promote the utilization of electronic maternal and child health handbooks and maternal and child health DX.

'Boshi Mo' is an app that easily supports vaccination schedules, health check-up result management, and local information distribution on smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Since data is stored in the cloud, it serves as a backup in case of loss of the maternal and child health handbook due to disasters, and also supports continuous use when moving to another municipality or changing device models, allowing users to continue using it with peace of mind.

◆ 'Boshi Mo' Launches in Iizuna Town, Nagano Prefecture, Aiming to Be a Town Where Parents Can Raise Children with Peace of Mind Through Diverse Support!

Iizuna Town's childcare support facility "Mitsudon no Ouchi" plans various events such as childcare consultations, parent-child interaction classes, family events, friendly plazas (facility open days), Ohi-sama plazas (nursery school open days), and health and nutrition consultations, contributing to the creation of a community where parents can raise children with peace of mind.

In addition, the town offers services such as temporary childcare, short-term stays, dispatch of home visiting childcare support workers, operation of after-illness childcare rooms, and family support center programs, aiming to reduce the burden on child-rearing families.

Furthermore, as a "Child-rearing Support Celebration Grant" wishing for children's healthy growth, 200,000 yen is provided at birth, 30,000 yen upon graduation from nursery school, and 50,000 yen each upon graduation from elementary and junior high school. This aims to provide economic support to child-rearing households and build a foundation that makes them want to continue raising children in this town.

This time, 'Boshi Mo' was adopted as a new tool for disseminating childcare information to make the town's initiatives more convenient for child-rerearing households.

◆ Comprehensive Support for Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Child-rearing with a Community-Based Childcare App!

The 'Maternal and Child Health Handbook App' adopted by Iizuna Town is a service compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs. It is equipped with convenient functions that help busy mothers and fathers with childcare and work, such as recording and managing health data for pregnant women and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and childcare, sharing functions with family members such as grandparents living in distant areas, and notifying users of local information distributed by the town.

The "Dekitayo Kinenbi" (I Did It Anniversary) childcare diary, created based on the Child and Family Agency's maternal and child health handbook format examples, allows users to record developmental stages and childcare-related anniversaries, including the "Parent's Record" from the maternal and child health handbook, with photos and messages, and also serves as a guide for children's growth and development.

Furthermore, even when social environmental changes occur due to infectious diseases or other factors, important information such as cautionary notices from the municipality and advice from public health nurses can be instantly delivered to those who need it via text or video through the app, supporting the creation of an environment where childbirth and childcare can be carried out with peace of mind even in emergencies.
