Mother and Child Health Handbook App 'Boshi-Moo' Launches in Chihaya Akasaka Village, Osaka Prefecture!

The mother and child health handbook app 'Boshi-Moo', operated by Boshi-Moo Inc., has been introduced in Chihaya Akasaka Village, Minamikawachi District, Osaka Prefecture, and will be offered as the 'Kogosekko ♡ Sukusuku App' starting April 1st (Wednesday). Chihaya Akasaka Village, under its 3rd Term Chihaya Akasaka Village Children and Childcare Support Project Plan, has adopted the basic philosophy of 'A town that supports children's dreams and futures through mutual support, Chihaya Akasaka'. In addition to creating an environment where parents and children can spend their time healthily, the village is enhancing initiatives to support learning and development, providing detailed support for diverse childcare households. The village has now adopted 'Boshi-Moo', which allows digital recording of paper mother and child health handbook data and is implemented in over 830 municipalities. This adoption aligns with the policy of promoting the use of electronic mother and child health handbooks by the Agency for Children and Families and advancing mother and child health DX*1, and operations will commence. 'Boshi-Moo' is an app that easily supports vaccination schedules, health check result management, and regional information distribution via smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Data is stored in the cloud, serving as a backup in case of loss of the mother and child health handbook due to disasters, and also supports continued use when moving to another municipality or changing devices, allowing for worry-free continuous use.

◆ 'Boshi-Moo' Launches in Chihaya Akasaka Village, Osaka Prefecture, Supporting Learning and Interaction for Childcare Households with Diverse Initiatives! Chihaya Akasaka Village, as part of its 'Childcare Support Childbirth Celebration Project', presents picture books, parenting books, and building blocks made from local 'Osaka Kawachi Wood' to children born in the village and their guardians, supporting the healthy growth of the children who will lead the next generation. Furthermore, the regional childcare support center 'Himawari' supports childcare households through various events such as parenting consultations, seasonal craft activities using everyday items like paper cups, and physical play. The facility also strives to create an environment that realizes diverse learning and interaction by holding English classes once a month, aiming to make English familiar to children while they have fun playing.

The 'Kogosekko ♡ Sukusuku App', adopted by Chihaya Akasaka Village, is a service compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs. It offers convenient features to assist busy mothers and fathers juggling childcare and work, including recording and managing health data for pregnant women, mothers, and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and childcare, a sharing function with family members such as grandparents living in distant areas, and notifications of regional information distributed by the village. 'Dekiyodayo Kinenbi' (Anniversary of Accomplishment), which can be used as a childcare diary, is created based on the sample formats for mother and child health handbooks from the Agency for Children and Families. It not only allows users to record milestones related to child development and childcare, including the 'Guardian's Record' section of the mother and child health handbook, along with photos and messages, but also serves as a guide for the child's growth and development. Furthermore, in the event of social environmental changes due to factors like infectious diseases, the app can instantly deliver important information such as cautionary notices from the municipality and advice from public health nurses to those who need it via text and video, supporting an environment where childbirth and childcare can be carried out with peace of mind even in emergencies.
