Boshi-mo Inc.'s maternal and child health handbook app, 'Boshi-mo,' has been introduced in Iijima Town, Kamiina District, Nagano Prefecture, and will be offered as 'Iijima Sukusuku Navi' starting April 1st (Wednesday). Iijima Town aims to create a town where all children can grow up healthy and build prosperous futures, based on the fundamental philosophy of supporting diverse parenting families seamlessly throughout the community. This initiative seeks to foster an environment where children can grow up healthy in mind and body. The 'Boshi-mo' app, which allows digital recording of data from paper maternal and child health handbooks and is adopted by over 830 municipalities, has been selected. This implementation aligns with the policy of promoting the utilization of electronic maternal and child health handbooks by the Children and Families Agency and advancing maternal and child health DX (Digital Transformation)※1. 'Boshi-mo' is an app that easily supports the management of vaccination schedules and health checkup results, as well as the distribution of local information, via smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Data is stored in the cloud, serving as a backup in case of loss of the maternal and child health handbook due to disasters. It also supports continued use when moving to another municipality or changing devices, ensuring peace of mind for users.
◆'Boshi-mo' Launches in Iijima Town, Nagano Prefecture, Featuring Diverse Local Child-Rearing Support Measures! Iijima Town is working to create an environment where parents can start raising children with peace of mind by providing a birth congratulatory payment of 50,000 yen per newborn, thereby reducing the financial burden associated with childbirth and early childcare. Furthermore, as a congratulatory gift for the birth of a newborn, the town presents 5 kilograms of specially cultivated Koshihikari rice, 'Koyomitsuki Kogane,' produced locally. By fostering a connection with this safe and secure local brand rice, produced with consideration for the environment, the town aims to promote food education and agricultural development. To enable child-rearing households to utilize the town's initiatives more conveniently, 'Boshi-mo' has been adopted as a new tool for disseminating child-rearing information.
◆Thorough Support for Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Child-Rearing with a Community-Focused Child-Rearing App! The 'Iijima Sukusuku Navi,' adopted by Iijima Town, is a service compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs. It offers a wealth of convenient features to assist busy mothers and fathers juggling childcare and work, including recording and managing health data for pregnant women, mothers, and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and childcare, sharing functions with family members such as grandparents living in distant areas, and notifying users of local information distributed by the town. The 'Kinenbi Kinenbi' (Anniversary of Accomplishment) feature, which can be used as a childcare diary, is based on the sample formats for maternal and child health handbooks from the Children and Families Agency. It allows users to record milestones in a child's development and parenting journey, along with photos and messages, including the 'Parent's Record' section of the maternal and child health handbook. It also serves as a guide for a child's growth and development. Furthermore, in the event of societal environmental changes, such as those caused by infectious diseases, the app can instantly deliver important information such as cautionary notices from the municipality and advice from public health nurses via text and video to those who need it, supporting an environment where childbirth and child-rearing can be done with peace of mind even in emergencies.
