NPO Borderless Foundation (Location: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Representative Director: Kazunari Taguchi) has today launched the donation-linked time deposit "FFG En Deposit" in collaboration with Fukuoka Financial Group, Inc. (Location: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Hisashi Goshima, hereinafter FFG). This time deposit will be handled by FFG's subsidiaries: The Bank of Fukuoka, Ltd., The Kumamoto Bank, Ltd., The Eighteenth Shinwa Bank, Ltd., and The Fukuoka Chuo Bank, Ltd.
"FFG En Deposit" adopts a mechanism where each bank donates a certain percentage of the total deposit balance collected during the period, in accordance with depositor votes, to non-profit organizations and individuals active in the region. There is no burden on depositors, and its characteristic is the ease with which one can "support the community by depositing."
To commence applications for the time deposit, a total of four organizations from Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and Nagasaki have been selected as beneficiaries. Through this initiative, we hope to support the efforts of these organizations active in various prefectures of Kyushu and provide an opportunity for more people to learn about them.
It is expected that a new cycle will emerge where local actors and daily financial activities support the local community.
