Booklista Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeru Murata; hereinafter 'Booklista'), through its 'Oshikatsu Research Club (Oshiken!)', conducted a survey on 'solo oshikatsu' among users who have a 'oshi' (a favorite person or character they support).

Booklista operates the oshikatsu-specific app, Oshibana. Its users are primarily people who engage in oshikatsu. 'Oshiken!', established by the Oshibana app, is a club activity aimed at making users' oshikatsu more enjoyable and providing support.

This time, we surveyed 250 users from their teens to their 50s who engage in oshikatsu about their solo activities. In this report, we consistently receive a large number of responses from teenagers, who on average make up more than half of the total respondents. Therefore, the trends of the younger generation leading oshikatsu are always strongly reflected in the survey results. In this survey, teenagers accounted for 50.4% of the respondents.

When we surveyed whether users engage in oshikatsu alone, the largest group, at 59.2%, responded that they 'basically do oshikatsu alone.' This was followed by 19.6% who 'do it alone depending on the genre,' and 16.4% who 'sometimes do it alone.' On the other hand, only 4.8% said they 'always do oshikatsu with someone,' revealing that many oshikatsu users enjoy their activities alone.

Next, we asked oshikatsu users about their reasons for doing oshikatsu alone.
