Boku to Watashi to Co., Ltd., a company specializing in planning and 'Emo-Marketing®' for Gen Z, has conducted a survey on 'AI usage' targeting a total of 2,000 individuals from Gen Z (ages 22–29) and Millennials (ages 30–49).
AI is increasingly being utilized in various situations, such as writing, information gathering, and brainstorming. As opportunities to use AI in daily life and work increase, how is Gen Z using AI? And are there differences in their usage and awareness compared to Millennials?
This survey examined AI usage frequency, tools used, specific use cases, and even the role of AI in decision-making and consulting on interpersonal relationships. Furthermore, we inquired about attitudes toward 'marriage with AI.' By comparing Gen Z and Millennials, we have uncovered unique ways Gen Z interacts with AI and their underlying values.

First, when asked about their 'AI usage frequency,' 53.5% of Gen Z responded that they use it 'at least once a week,' compared to 44.3% of Millennials.
The difference was particularly significant among high-frequency users who answered 'every day' or '4-5 days a week.' This accounted for 29.0% of Gen Z, compared to 20.1% for Millennials, a difference of about 9 percentage points.
