■ 3 Key Points of the Survey Results

1. Business Efficiency Tops at 30.6% of All Challenges

Among the challenges the 245 companies aimed to solve, business efficiency was the most common at 30.6%. Using the cost and man-hour reductions gained through efficiency as a foothold, an increasing number of companies are advancing to the next maturity stages of "knowledge utilization" and "new value creation."

2. 55.9% of Adopting Companies Choose In-House Development

Only 44.1% of companies remained with the use of general-purpose external tools, while more than half chose insourcing and specialized development utilizing their own proprietary data and confidential information. The movement to position AI as a "source of competitive advantage" has become distinct.

3. 61.6% Reached Stage 2 (Retention Phase), 24.1% Advanced to Stage 3 (Transformation Phase)

In an analysis classifying the maturity of Generative AI utilization into three stages, 151 out of 245 companies (61.6%) reached the phase of "implementation into specific operations and creation of quantitative effects." Furthermore, one in four companies (24.1%) has advanced to the "transformation phase," where they promote new business creation and organizational reform premised on AI.

■ Why We Conducted This Survey

Our company's mission is to "Trigger another period of rapid economic growth," placing labor force supplementation by Generative AI and the maximization of human creativity at the core of our business. After the PoC phase in 2023-2024, corporate Generative AI utilization is transitioning to the "production implementation" phase from 2025 onwards.

Gartner predicts that by 2028, at least 15% of daily business decisions will be made autonomously by Agentic AI. [Source: Gartner]

On the other hand, there was limited public material providing a cross-industry overview of "what operations competitors are applying AI to" and "whether a company's own challenges are common across other industries."

We created this material to visualize the current landscape, based on over 2,000 case studies accumulated through our Generative AI-specialized media "Taskhub Magazine," which attracts 3 million annual PVs, and our track record of over 1,000 internal projects.
